Dr DeUrquiza holds a doctorate degree (PhD) in human behavior, a master’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in social work. He completed postgraduate training in individual and family psychotherapy. His training includes psychodynamic psychotherapy, as well as attachment, cognitive behavioral and interpersonal approaches.

My approach to therapy

I have an open minded and supportive approach. I encourage the individual to develop a trusting working relationship with me so we can explore problem areas and figure out together the best ways to address them. I specialize in anxiety, depression, stress reduction, anger management, couples, and interpersonal difficulties.

I conduct therapy in an environment of acceptance, encouraging the patient to be curious about self, and to explore different emotions, life circumstances, and present difficulties.
