Great to meet you!

Hello, Welcome to my profile! Wanted to share a little about my experience and background. I have a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and more than 20 years of experience in behavioral health. I have worked with adults, adolescents, children, and families in multiple settings and from diverse backgrounds. I have evaluated and treated many different problems including post-traumatic stress, anxiety and mood disorders, behavioral and conduct problems, inadequate coping and stress management issues, adjustment disorders, relationship and interpersonal problems, etc. Whether you are utilizing therapy to alleviate pain and distress, to live a more meaningful and fulfilling life, to disrupt dysfunctional and destructive patterns and behaviors, or to improve your key relationships, I will work with you to address these issues in a personalized and culturally competent manner.

My approach to therapy

My broad experience has helped shape my approach and sharpen my abilities to build a strong therapeutic foundation, necessary for open and direct collaboration and growth. Together, we will identify your needs and use evidence-based strategies and interventions drawn from cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, family systems, psychoeducational, and process-experiential therapy orientations, among others. We will work to meet your specific goals at your own pace.

What you can expect from me

The first task in therapy is to get acquainted and begin to establish a space of mutual safety and trust. In our first meeting, I like to get a picture of what brings you to therapy in context of your circumstances, life experiences, and aspirations to determine how we can meet your needs and goals. From there, we will layout a vision and plan to support these objectives. I am ready when you are and looking forward to meeting you soon!
