Great to meet you!

I know how heavy it can feel when anxiety, depression, or the weight of a hard transition doesn't let up. I'm Eric, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW, DSW) with over five years of experience helping individuals and families move through stress, burnout, trauma, grief, relationship struggles, and life's harder transitions. I work from a strengths-based, culturally responsive lens, meeting you where you are and building toward real, sustainable change. My focus areas include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD and trauma, domestic violence, family and relationship issues, men's issues, cultural and ethnic concerns, substance use, and grief. If you're ready for a space that's collaborative and judgment-free, I'd love to hear from you.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be a collaborative, empowering experience. My role is to provide a safe, non‐judgmental space where clients can explore challenges, build insight, and develop practical tools for navigating life’s complexities. I approach each session with empathy, curiosity, and respect, ensuring clients feel heard, supported, and understood.

Whether addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, or stress, I strive to help clients reconnect with their strengths, clarify their goals, and move toward a more grounded and fulfilling future.

I integrate a range of research‐supported modalities to create individualized treatment plans that align with each client’s goals, learning style, and pace. My areas of focus include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – helping clients identify and reshape unhelpful thoughts and patterns.
  • Solution‐Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) – emphasizing strengths, possibilities, and actionable steps forward.
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI) – supporting clients in resolving ambivalence and strengthening intrinsic motivation.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – building skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Task‐Centered Practice – using structured, goal‐driven interventions to create measurable progress.
  • Crisis Intervention Models – providing stabilization, safety planning, and immediate support during acute distress.

What you can expect from me

Clients working with me from their first session will experience:

  1. A warm, welcoming environment rooted in trust and confidentiality.
  2. Evidence‐based interventions tailored to their unique needs.
  3. Clear, collaborative goal‐setting.
  4. Practical strategies that can be applied outside of sessions.
  5. A therapist who is committed to ongoing learning, cultural humility, and ethical care.
