Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and a proud, dedicated military veteran. I have several years of experience in the military as a psychiatric nurse. I bring both a sense of service and a deep commitment to my patients. I offer comprehensive mental health care to individuals of all ages, from young children as young as 5 years old to older adults in their later years of life. Some of the specific treatment areas I specialize in are medication management for depression, anxiety, substance use, personality disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar treatments as well as treatment-resistant depression strategies.

My approach to therapy

My practice is anchored in integrative psychiatry, where I combine traditional psychiatric methods with holistic practices. My style of practice specifically addresses the mind, body, and spirit. I am passionate about serving diverse communities, including the LGBTQ+ population, individuals with disabilities, and other underserved population groups. Each patient I work with receives a tailored, culturally competent care plan that merges evidence-based therapies with integrative techniques such as mindfulness, lifestyle strategies, and trauma-informed care. My mission is to foster a safe, affirming environment where every person feels heard, respected, and empowered to achieve lasting mental wellness.

What you can expect from me

In the patient's first session with me, I set goals around building a therapeutic alliance and ensuring baseline safety. I aim to foster an environment where the patient feels heard, supported, and understood in a non-judgmental purposeful manner. The tone of the environment is fostered to be warm, structured, safe, and private, with minimal distractions, so the patient can feel free to open up. The patient and I will establish a personal plan for symptom reduction, like lowering anxiety, stabilizing mood or improving sleep with measurable milestones along the way to individual balance.
