Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Eric Reyes, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and founder of Reyes Therapy Services. I provide telehealth therapy for adults across California who are experiencing anxiety, burnout, trauma, and major life stress.

Many of the people I work with are capable, responsible individuals who are used to handling everything on their own. Over time, the pressure of work, relationships, or unresolved experiences can start to feel overwhelming. Therapy can offer a space to slow down, make sense of what you’re going through, and develop healthier ways of coping.

My approach is supportive, practical, and collaborative. I draw from evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and EMDR when working with trauma.

My goal is to help clients gain clarity, build resilience, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each client’s needs. I believe therapy works best when clients feel comfortable being open and honest, so I focus on creating a supportive and non-judgmental space where people can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

I often work with adults dealing with anxiety, burnout, trauma, and high levels of stress. Together we identify patterns that may be contributing to distress and develop practical tools to help manage difficult emotions and situations.

I integrate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Type Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic, and when appropriate, EMDR. These approaches help clients build coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and address deeper experiences that may still be affecting their present lives.

Therapy is a collaborative process, and we move at a pace that feels comfortable and meaningful for you.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel uncomfortable at first. Many people wonder what it will be like to open up to someone new or whether therapy will actually help. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and able to speak openly without pressure or judgment. Imagine that!

Many of the people I work with are capable, responsible individuals who are used to pushing through stress and showing up for others. From the outside things may appear stable, but internally they may feel overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck in patterns they can’t seem to change.

In our sessions, you’ll find that I keep things real. I’m not a distant or silent therapist. I listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and help you develop practical tools you can use in everyday life.

At the same time, we don’t just focus on short-term fixes. Together we explore the deeper patterns, experiences, and pressures that may be contributing to ongoing stress, anxiety, or emotional exhaustion. The goal is not just temporary relief but meaningful and lasting change.

Our work moves at your pace. Some days we may focus on strategies to help you manage immediate stress or difficult emotions. Other times we may slow down and explore the experiences that have shaped how you think, feel, and respond to challenges.

Clients often tell me they’re surprised by how natural therapy begins to feel. It becomes a place where you don’t have to hold everything together or carry the weight alone.

Because sessions are online, therapy can easily fit into your life. Many clients join from home, between meetings, or during a quiet moment in their day. What matters most is creating space to pause, reflect, and focus on yourself.
