Great to meet you!

You should know that I love what I do. I am passionate about helping people to not only cope with chronic conditions but to thrive and heal from chronic conditions. I have build my entire career around helping individuals who have chronic medical conditions, like chronic pain or digestive issues (I have a personal history of both of these!). I obtained great experience and knowledge through my academic training but have learned the most from my clients and personal study in the 13 years since I got my doctoral degree.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is centered around empowering individuals to take a proactive stance in their physical and emotional health. I infuse mindfulness into my therapy, which includes both traditional 'talk' therapy as well as body-centered work (e.g., yoga, somatic exercises). I don't take myself or life too seriously, so we're almost guaranteed to laugh once per session. :)

What you can expect from me

You will take away a sense of how important self-love and self-compassion is to your healing journey. Hopefully, you will also leave sessions feeling a bit lighter, hopeful, and empowered.
