Great to meet you!

I want clients to know that before I am a therapist, researcher, or professional — I am human. I believe healing happens through connection, trust, honesty, and the courage to better understand ourselves.

As a clinician, international social worker, and social research scientist, my work is grounded in understanding the whole person — not just a diagnosis, symptom, or difficult season of life. Our experiences are shaped by our relationships, environments, cultures, families, communities, and the systems we navigate every day.

My approach is compassionate, but it is also reflective. I believe therapy is a space where you deserve to feel safe, seen, and respected — while also being gently challenged to explore the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that may be keeping you stuck.

I do not view myself as the expert of your life. You are. My role is to walk alongside you, ask meaningful questions, provide tools, and sometimes hold up the mirror so you can reconnect with your own awareness, strength, and ability to create change.

My clinical practice integrates evidence-based approaches with mindfulness, mind-body awareness, cultural understanding, and real conversations about the human experience. I believe growth requires grace, accountability, curiosity, and a willingness to do the work.

I am not here to “fix” you. I am here to support, guide, and partner with you as you discover what healing, balance, and authenticity look like for you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy begins with partnership. My primary role is to build a strong therapeutic alliance with clients and families who are navigating acute or chronic mental, emotional, and behavioral health challenges.

Together, we create an integrated approach that is unique to you — one that honors your experiences, strengths, values, and goals. I believe that building a safe, trusting, and authentic relationship is one of the most important foundations for meaningful change.

Therapy is not about judgment or being told what to do; it is a process of exploration, self-awareness, and growth. We work together to identify patterns, develop skills, strengthen resilience, and set realistic, attainable goals that support the changes you want to create in your life.

My role is to walk alongside you — offering guidance, reflection, tools, and support — while helping you recognize your own capacity for healing, growth, and transformation.

What you can expect from me

Expect grace, compassion, and a space where you can simply show up as you are.

Our first session is not about rushing to find all the answers or “fixing” everything immediately. It is a time to pause, reflect, explore, and begin understanding yourself on a deeper level. Sometimes growth comes through comfort, and sometimes it comes through sitting with moments that feel uncomfortable — both can create meaningful change.

Expect to do the work. Therapy is a collaborative process where we explore your experiences, patterns, strengths, challenges, and the direction that feels most aligned for you. My role is not to tell you who to become, but to help you reconnect with who you are.

Expect me to hold up the mirror — with honesty and compassion — to encourage self-reflection, self-awareness, and personal growth. My hope is that you leave each session with a little more insight, clarity, or understanding than when you arrived.

Lastly, expect to meet the human side of me as well. I am not a fixer, and I do not pretend to have all the answers. I am a guide walking alongside you as you discover your own.
