Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, licensed since 2008, with experience working with diverse populations ranging from children to older adults. I provide a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel supported and understood. I especially enjoy helping individuals navigate life transitions such as starting college, graduating, changing jobs, adjusting to civilian life after the military, or entering retirement. My areas of focus include women’s issues, anxiety, depression, and building self-acceptance. I look forward to supporting you as you move toward growth and balance in your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life and experiences. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, while also using a solution-focused approach to support meaningful, forward-moving change. In addition, I draw from psychodynamic and family systems perspectives to explore how past experiences and relationships may be shaping your current patterns. Together, we’ll work to build insight, strengthen coping strategies, and create a path that aligns with your goals and values.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where we begin getting to know one another. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, explore your goals, and discuss what you hope to gain from our work together. I may ask questions about your background, current challenges, and strengths to better understand your unique experience. Together, we’ll begin identifying initial goals and outline a path forward, while also making space for any questions or concerns you may have about the process. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer sense of direction and what working together will look like moving forward.
