Great to meet you!

Dr. Erica A. Davies is a licensed pediatric psychologist who is deeply passionate about working with children, adolescents, and transition-aged youth. Over the past 11 years, she has brought extensive experience across outpatient, primary care, and community-based settings, where she has provided evidence-based treatment, psychological assessment, and family-centered care to diverse populations. Throughout her career, Dr. Davies has remained committed to supporting young people and their families through meaningful, developmentally informed interventions that promote long-term growth and well-being .

Dr. Davies approaches therapy with the belief that each individual’s story, strengths, and challenges are unique. She prioritizes creating an individualized, empathetic, and genuinely caring environment where clients feel seen, understood, and safe to explore difficult experiences. Her work emphasizes building strong therapeutic relationships, fostering resilience, and helping clients develop practical skills that lead to meaningful and sustainable change.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Davies is actively involved in teaching and training future clinicians at the doctoral and master’s levels. She is dedicated to advancing the field of psychology through mentorship, education, and advocacy, particularly in areas related to child and adolescent mental health, trauma, and family systems.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy from an integrative, evidence-based, and relationship-centered perspective, with a strong focus on working with children, adolescents, and transition-aged youth. My work is grounded in a family-centered and systems-oriented lens, as I believe meaningful change happens not only within the individual, but within the broader context of their relationships and environment. I strive to involve caregivers and support systems in treatment whenever appropriate, recognizing their essential role in long-term success.

My clinical experience in both primary care and outpatient pediatric settings has shaped a style that is flexible, goal-oriented, and responsive to each client’s unique needs. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including TF-CBT, ACT, and EMDR, and tailor interventions based on developmental level, presenting concerns, and family dynamics rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model .

Above all, I prioritize creating an individualized, empathetic, and caring therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, understood, and supported. I value building strong therapeutic relationships and helping young people develop insight, resilience, and practical skills that lead to meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session with me to feel welcoming, supportive, and focused on helping them feel at ease. I understand that starting therapy can be uncomfortable or even a little intimidating, so I take time to build rapport, get to know you (and your child, if applicable), and create a space where you feel safe and understood.

During this initial session, I will gather information about your concerns, history, and goals for treatment. For children and adolescents, this often includes time with both the caregiver and the child, as well as opportunities to hear each person’s perspective. I may ask questions about emotional, behavioral, developmental, and family factors to better understand the full picture and begin identifying how I can best support you.

You can also expect me to explain my approach to therapy, answer any questions you may have, and begin collaborating on next steps. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and hopeful about the process moving forward.
