Great to meet you!

It seems as though I have been a kind of therapist since elementary school, being a good listener and trusted friend to many. Over the years I have continued to refine these skills, among many other therapeutic skills. While counseling is a job for many, I see it as my God-given calling and purpose in life. It is my belief that God calls me to live with integrity, not for appearance, but to reflect God's goodness in every space I enter - my home, my relationships, and my work. Seeing it through this lens has allowed me to maintain a high regard for my clients and to continue to deliver quality care. I look forward to meeting you and working with you!

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is to meet each client where they are, in a welcoming and non-judgmental approach. Finding relief and understanding is a priority. I utilize evidence-based approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, to guide clients toward progress. However, since each person has different needs, I work with my clients to learn their needs and tailor approaches to help them reach their goals.

What you can expect from me

For many people, talking with a therapist about your innermost thoughts/troubles can seem overwhelming and frightening. I respect the need to get to know the therapist and establish a trusting therapeutic relationship first before delving into the intricacies of the presenting issue - this flexibility can help as you determine whether to continue with the counseling process. My commitment to you is to respect where you are in the process and to move at a pace that is most comfortable for you.
