Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience supporting children, teens, and families through a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Stephen F. Austin State University and have worked across community mental health, school-based programs, and family systems.

I specialize in working with youth who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, and life transitions. I also have extensive experience supporting families involved in foster care, adoption, kinship care, and reunification. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and strive to provide a culturally responsive and welcoming space for all clients.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and highly individualized. I believe every child and family has unique strengths, and I work to build on those while addressing challenges in a practical and supportive way.

I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), emotional regulation skill-building, and behavior-focused strategies to help clients better understand their thoughts, feelings, and actions. I also work closely with caregivers to provide tools and guidance that can be used outside of sessions, because lasting change happens both in and out of therapy.

My style is warm, engaging, and collaborative. I aim to create a space where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered to grow.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is your space. It’s an opportunity for you to share your story, your experiences, and what matters most to you—at your own pace. You are in control of what you choose to talk about, and there is no pressure to have everything figured out.

Together, we’ll begin exploring what’s been weighing on you, what you’d like to see change, and what goals feel meaningful in your life right now. I’ll support you in identifying your strengths and building on them, while also helping you develop tools to navigate challenges more confidently.

You can expect a supportive, non-judgmental environment where your voice is valued and respected. My role is to walk alongside you—helping you gain insight, build skills, and move toward the life you want to create.
