Great to meet you!

I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology as well as a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Texas (License #87701) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), License #1624761. In addition to these credentials, I am a certified TeleHealth provider, which allows me to offer flexible and accessible mental health services to clients regardless of their location within the state of Texas. I work with individuals from the ages of 13 to 65.

I believe that the counseling relationship serves as the cornerstone of meaningful and lasting change. My approach is grounded in the understanding that healing and growth occur in the context of a supportive, collaborative, and respectful relationship. I view counseling as a deeply personal and interactive process—one in which you and I work together to cultivate trust, honesty, and mutual respect. These foundational elements are essential for identifying and exploring your current concerns, developing insight, and working toward the changes you wish to see in your life. My goal is to provide a safe and compassionate space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward toward your desired outcomes. My areas of clinical focus include gender and identity exploration, LGBTQ+ affirming care, anxiety, depression, trauma, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), emotional regulation difficulties, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and adjustment-related concerns.

My approach to therapy

Because no single approach fits every individual, I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities to best meet each client’s unique needs and experiences. I take an integrative approach to counseling, tailoring interventions to align with your personal goals, preferences, and presenting concerns. While I incorporate several evidence-based practices, my primary emphasis is on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps clients identify and reframe unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, leading to more effective coping strategies and improved emotional well-being. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy emphasizes strengths, resources, and short-term goal achievement, helping clients envision and move toward positive change. Emotion-Focused Therapy supports clients in understanding, processing, and regulating emotions to foster deeper emotional awareness and healing. Dialectical Behavior Therapy offers practical tools for managing distress, improving interpersonal effectiveness, and cultivating mindfulness.

What you can expect from me

By blending various therapeutic approaches, I strive to create a flexible and responsive counseling experience that supports meaningful personal growth and lasting transformation. My goal is to meet each client where they are—with compassion, authenticity, and evidence-based support tailored to their unique journey.

I am deeply committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to explore who they are and navigate life’s challenges. I work collaboratively with clients to help them understand the root causes of their symptoms, while developing practical coping strategies that promote emotional resilience and overall well-being.

Through the use of targeted skills and techniques, I encourage clients to recognize their own needs, affirm their self-worth, and build a strong foundation for continued growth and healing.
