I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling and bring over 11 years of experience as a school counselor, along with more than 7 years working as a mental health counselor. My background allows me to support clients with both clinical expertise and a strong understanding of life transitions, relationships, and everyday stressors.

My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, family and relationship concerns, stress management, trauma, panic, PTSD, and issues affecting both men and women. I work with adults and adolescents, providing a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore challenges, build coping skills, and work toward meaningful change.

I believe therapy should feel collaborative, safe, and empowering. My goal is to meet you where you are and help you move forward at a pace that feels right for you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is supportive, collaborative, and client-centered. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, heard, and respected. I meet each client where they are and tailor treatment to their unique needs, goals, and life experiences.

Drawing from my background as a school counselor and mental health counselor, I use practical, evidence-based strategies to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I work with clients to develop effective coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and build healthier relationships.

I take a trauma-informed approach and understand the impact that stress, anxiety, depression, panic, and past experiences can have on daily functioning. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, gain insight, and move toward lasting change at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a time for us to get to know each other and begin building a safe, comfortable therapeutic relationship. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from counseling. I will also ask some background questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and challenges.

You can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you are free to share at your own pace. There is no pressure to have everything figured out or to share more than you are ready for. Together, we will begin identifying goals for therapy and discussing next steps that feel realistic and aligned with your needs.

By the end of the session, most clients leave with a clearer understanding of the therapy process, a sense of what our work together may look like, and reassurance that they are not alone in navigating their challenges.
