Great to meet you!

Welcome — I’m Glad You’re Here

I’m Erica Ortiz, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with over 17 years of experience helping children, teens, adults, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.

I help clients work through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, and life transitions. With children, I use play therapy to help them express emotions in ways that make sense for them. With couples, I take a trauma-informed approach to strengthen connection and communication.

My approach to therapy

My style is compassionate, collaborative, and person-centered, drawing from evidence-based practices to meet your unique needs. I believe in your capacity to heal and grow—and I’m honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable and supported as we begin getting to know each other. We’ll talk about what brought you to counseling, what you’d like to work on, and what you hope to gain from our time together. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background, experiences, and current challenges, but there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to. Together, we’ll begin setting goals and creating a plan that feels right for you. Most importantly, this session is about starting to build a trusting, collaborative relationship where you feel safe to explore, heal, and grow at your own pace.
