I have been in the counseling field for 28 years. During that time I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults. I have both a master's and educational Specialist degrees from the University of Alabama. I am drawn to work with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression and life's transitions.
My approach with clients is to engage them as a partner in their self-healing and personal growth. Instead of being an authority figure, I would prefer to be an empathetic facilitator throughout the therapeutic process.
During our first session, the client will provide information and insight that cannot be understood from a questionnaire. Through a series of questions, I hope to gain insight and meet clients where they are and help them set goals for positive outcomes.
