Erica Thrower

Hello! I’m so glad you made it to my profile. I’m Erica, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of California and Massachusetts. I have been practicing psychotherapy for over 10 years, and I’m also an AASECT certified sex therapist. I got my BA in Psychology and Sociology at the University of Pittsburgh and then my MSW at Boston College.

I specialize in treating individuals and couples who present with sexual concerns. I welcome all persons with varied and diverse gender identities and sexualities, as well as varied forms of relationships.

In treating individuals and couples, I tend to emphasize the use of mindfulness, systemic and trauma-informed interventions. However, I draw from a broad range of approaches and training to tailor each person's therapeutic experience to their individual needs.

My goal is to provide a safe and accepting environment for everyone. I believe that therapy can be helpful to any person who is willing to examine and improve upon their thoughts and behaviors. I focus on fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship where I help my clients meet their personal and relational goals for growth.
