My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy lies in building authentic therapeutic relationships based on trust and collaboration. I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions, helping them develop coping strategies, self-awareness, and lasting change. I integrate psychodynamic insights to explore underlying patterns while emphasizing practical tools for daily life.

Cultural humility is central to my practice—I honor diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences, adapting my approach to align with each client’s values and worldview. I am committed to ongoing learning, ensuring my methods reflect the latest research and ethical standards.

Beyond individual therapy, I offer psychoeducation and skills training to support clients in building emotional resilience. Whether through guided self-reflection, behavioral activation, or stress-reduction techniques, my goal is to equip clients with the confidence and skills to thrive.

What sets me apart is my genuine passion for witnessing transformation. Nothing is more rewarding than helping clients uncover their strengths, rewrite unhelpful narratives, and move toward meaningful, fulfilling lives. I meet clients where they are—with empathy, professionalism, and a deep belief in their capacity for healing.

Ultimately, my mission is simple: to provide expert, compassionate care that inspires hope and fosters lasting well-being.

What you can expect from me

The initial session is primarily about connection and understanding, designed to be a relaxed, low-pressure conversation. My foremost goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment where you can begin to feel comfortable and heard. We will start by discussing what prompted you to seek therapy now and what you hope to achieve. This collaborative discussion forms the foundation of our work together. I will ask questions about your current life, history, and well-being to conduct a thorough assessment; this helps me understand the full picture of your unique situation. From there, we will begin to collaboratively outline initial goals and a potential direction for your treatment plan, ensuring we are aligned from the start. While we cover important ground, the pace is gentle, prioritizing the essential process of building trust and rapport. You are welcome to ask questions, and we will work together to ensure you leave feeling heard, respected, and hopeful about the path ahead.
