Great to meet you!

At The Strong Friend’s Resting Place, I believe that even the strongest among us need a place to lay it all down. My role is to create a safe, compassionate space where you can exhale — where the pressure to be “okay” all the time no longer applies.

You may be used to carrying the weight for everyone else, always showing up, always performing — all while silently holding the heaviness of grief and loss. Here, you don’t have to hold it together. You don’t have to prove anything. You don’t have to wear the cape.

I offer restorative, trauma-informed care with a special focus on supporting those navigating grief and loss. My work is designed to help you release the weight of perfection, reconnect with your emotional needs, and begin healing without performance or pretense.

In this space, you are free to be authentic, soft, and human. You are welcome here — exactly as you are.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is gentle, collaborative, and deeply human. I believe healing — especially in seasons of grief and loss — happens in the context of safety, trust, and compassion, not pressure, performance, or perfection.

I use a trauma-informed and faith-integrated lens, recognizing how both life experiences and the pain of loss shape the way we see ourselves, our relationships, and the world. Together, we’ll explore your story at a pace that feels safe, honoring both your resilience and the tender places that need care.

In our work, I blend evidence-based practices with space for reflection, creativity, and rest. I will hold space for your grief and your truth while gently guiding you toward new ways of thinking, feeling, and being that align with who you truly are — not just who life has required you to be.

Here, therapy isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you carry grief with gentleness, lay down the heavy load, reconnect with your authentic self, and discover the freedom of simply being.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions together, you can expect to leave feeling lighter, more seen, and more grounded. My goal is for you to experience what it’s like to set down the emotional weight you’ve been carrying and breathe a little deeper.

You’ll take away practical tools for managing stress, navigating relationships, and honoring your emotional needs — but just as importantly, you’ll take away the reminder that you are allowed to rest, be soft, and show up as your whole self.

Over time, you’ll begin to recognize patterns that no longer serve you, feel more connected to your authentic self, and approach life with more compassion for yourself and others. You’ll learn that your worth has never been tied to how much you do or how well you hold it together.

Most of all, you’ll take away the assurance that you are not alone — and that it is safe to be fully you here.
