Great to meet you!

As a Mexican-American therapist I want to provide a safe space and cultural competency for all. My background currently consists of working with survivors of Domestic Violence/IPV. Through my work with these clients I have also helped them work on the following: Improving self-esteem, understanding how to set boundaries in relationships, creating support systems that cater to a better sense of self, learning and establishing a sense of identity, and intergenerational trauma. My goal is to help individuals who want to better define who they are and heal from the impacts of external factors in order to live a more fulfilled life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in collaboration and adaptation, taking a holistic view of your well-being. While I primarily use Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I also incorporate techniques from Solution-Focused Therapy and Adlerian Therapy to meet your unique needs.

I believe in meeting clients where they are, helping them process the wounds of their past while focusing on the potential of their future. My goal is to work with you on the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to create lasting change.

My work focuses on helping clients with PTSD, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, unhealthy relationships, life transitions, and a loss of identity. I am also interested in incorporating creative approaches such as art therapy into my practice, providing another avenue for you to explore your emotions and experiences.

What you can expect from me

I do my best to provide a safe space for all clients regardless of age, social class, or background. I believe in putting my client's needs first and working with them to help achieve the goals they have and create an environment to help them thrive. I will do my best to be a conduit for change at a pace that is healthy and realistic without judgement.
