Great to meet you!

I work with adults who feel stuck in unhealthy relationship patterns, grief, or major life transitions and want to better understand themselves, their needs, and what moving forward could look like. Throughout my career as a counselor and counselor educator, I've helped people develop that understanding and move toward a life and identity that feel more authentically their own.

I think much of what we look for in therapy is often already within us. It can become hidden by circumstances, situations, pain, and misunderstanding. A good therapist knows how to help you move toward that understanding carefully, at a pace that both prioritizes your goals and your own sense of security.

My style? Most of my clients appreciate my down-to-earth personality, my sense of humor, and the way I walk the tightrope between empathy and accountability to help clients understand themselves.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, person-centered, and strengths-based. I believe therapy works best when you feel understood, supported, and safe enough to explore the parts of your life that may feel difficult or stuck. Together, we’ll work to better understand your experiences, identify patterns that may no longer be serving you, and build on the strengths you already have. I balance compassion with gentle challenge, while always keeping your goals and pace at the center of our work.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin exploring what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what you hope to get from our work together, and any questions or concerns you may have. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you arrive. My goal is to create a comfortable, judgment-free space where we can begin identifying what feels most important to you and decide together how we’ll move forward.
