Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Erik Silva, and I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Florida with over 13 years of experience supporting individuals through a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges. I also serve as a Qualified Supervisor for Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns, helping to guide and shape the next generation of mental health professionals.

My clinical background includes working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship issues, and severe and persistent mental illness.

I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and have extensive experience working in both outpatient and community mental health settings. My goal is to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped to move forward with greater clarity and resilience.

Whether you’re navigating a difficult period, working through past trauma, or simply seeking personal growth, I’m here to support you in your journey toward mental and emotional wellness

My approach to therapy

My counseling style is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Goal-Oriented approaches. That said, I understand that every individual is unique, and I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities to tailor treatment to your specific needs.

I work collaboratively with my clients to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel empowered to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. My approach is compassionate and practical—I believe in helping clients not only gain insight but also develop concrete tools to manage life’s challenges and foster meaningful change.

Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or navigating major life transitions, my goal is to help you build resilience, improve self-awareness, and move toward a more fulfilling and balanced life. I also place a strong emphasis on helping clients set clear, achievable goals and tracking progress over time, so therapy remains focused and effective.

Ultimately, therapy with me is a collaborative journey—I'm here to support you, challenge you when needed, and celebrate your growth along the way.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions with greater clarity, practical coping tools, and a deeper understanding of themselves. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace.

My goal is to help you gain insight into patterns that may be holding you back, develop healthier ways of thinking and responding, and build on your personal strengths. Whether we’re working on managing anxiety, navigating life transitions, processing trauma, or improving relationships, each session is focused on progress that feels meaningful and manageable to you.

You can expect therapy to be collaborative, goal-oriented, and tailored to your unique needs—providing you with the support and strategies to create lasting change in your life.
