Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Erika Castillo-Emshoff, a Licensed Professional Counselor passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University and work with clients navigating anxiety, grief and loss, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and anger management. I also specialize in play therapy, parenting support, neurodivergent-affirming care, and social skills development. My approach is compassionate and individualized, helping clients build practical skills and meaningful growth at a pace that feels right for them.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is supportive, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I use evidence-based practices to help clients build practical skills, strengthen emotional regulation, and work toward meaningful goals. I also incorporate play therapy to help children express themselves, process emotions, and develop healthy coping skills in ways that feel natural and engaging.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session to be a welcoming and supportive space where we begin getting to know one another and discussing what brings them to therapy. We will explore their needs, strengths, and goals while identifying areas they would like to work on. My goal is to help clients feel comfortable, heard, and supported as we create a plan for moving forward together.
