Great to meet you!

I am Erika Cepero, a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a genuine passion for supporting patients as they work toward positive change and mental wellness. I understand that seeking care can sometimes feel daunting, and I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment where you can feel safe and heard.

I earned my Master's degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing from Walden University, and I am licensed to provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including medication management and therapy. My professional background includes working in various settings where I have gained experience working with individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders.

Additionally, I also graduated from the University of Miami and have a certification in Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner studies with a specialization in internal medicine.

I have a special interest in working with young adults, adults, the elderly, LGBTQ+, or people experiencing major life transitions, and I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each person I work with. Whether you are seeking help with managing daily stress, navigating a specific challenge, or addressing more complex mental health issues, I’m here to support you in a collaborative and empowering way. I am committed to providing care that is compassionate, evidence-based, and focused on your individual journey toward healing and growth.

I look forward to meeting you!

My approach to therapy

I believe that every individual deserves to feel heard, supported, and understood. My approach to psychiatric care is rooted in compassion, trust, and a strong therapeutic alliance. I take the time to understand your personal history, current challenges, and goals in order to develop a thoughtful, individualized treatment plan. This may include psychotherapy, medication management, or supportive counseling—tailored to meet your unique needs. My goal is to provide a safe, respectful space where you feel empowered to take an active role in your mental health journey. It is a privilege to support each person I work with, and I am committed to offering the highest level of care with empathy, professionalism, and respect.

What you can expect from me

After each session, I want you to leave feeling truly heard and understood, knowing that your thoughts and emotions were respected. My goal is for you to feel empowered and supported, with a clear sense of direction on how to move forward. Whether it’s through a new coping strategy, therapy technique, or medication adjustment, I aim to provide you with a tangible plan that makes sense for your unique needs. You should also leave with a renewed sense of hope, knowing that positive change is possible, even when the road feels challenging. Above all, I want you to feel safe, validated, and respected, knowing that this space is here for you to express yourself freely without judgment. Most importantly, I hope that, at the end of our time together, you feel a sense of relief or calm, as if you've taken a meaningful step in your journey toward healing and growth.
