Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Erika Heinzle (pronounced like Heinz ketchup with LEE at the end). I try not to take myself too seriously and look for the good in life. I have always been fascinated by what makes humans do what we do and how we relate to each other.

I came by counseling and coaching as a second career. I worked in the entertainment and finance industries for quite some time. Somehow, wherever I worked, people would come and talk to me about their lives and ask for input. I finally realized this was what I truly loved to do.

I graduated in 1997 with a degree in Psychology from Georgia State University and completed my Master's in Professional Counseling from Georgia State in 2009. I have been in private practice since 2014.

I am an introverted creative. I sing, dance and pursue as many creative endeavors as I can. I also love to read and listen to R&B and K-pop.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is centered around creating a warm and empathetic space for clients to explore their experiences. I want you to feel heard & understood. I focus on your strengths and your unique journey. The goal is to empower you to navigate your challenges, build resilience, and cultivate a sense of peace and well-being. I also look at things through a lens of humor and grace because, let's be honest, it's rough out there.

What you can expect from me

My office is not a typical stuffy doctor's office experience. No need to be nervous. We'll have a conversation to help me get to know you better and find out what's troubling you. This will help me to get an idea of how I can best help you. Then we'll discuss how to move forward. Hopefully, you'll leave encouraged that you took the first step toward feeling better.
