Great to meet you!

Erin Burke is a NY-state licensed psychologist who specializes in therapy for adolescents and adults. Dr. Burke has experience with a wide range of presenting concerns, including anxiety and depression, major life changes, trauma, teen/parent conflict, perinatal mental health, substance use, gender dysphoria, and relationship stress. In her therapeutic work, she utilizes CBT, DBT, and relational methods.

My approach to therapy

I utilize a trauma-informed systems approach to therapy, which requires understanding the holistic context a person must navigate outside the therapy room. I apply this framework when using strategies from CBT, DBT, and relational approaches to therapy.

What you can expect from me

I begin with an introductory call to make sure that we're a good fit and that I have the skillset that you need to grow and thrive. After the initial call, I schedule an intake appointment (typically in person if your schedule/distance allow). Following this intake, I offer both in-person and telehealth appointments where we will identify and flesh out your goals for our therapeutic work together. I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space for you to process, learn skills to both deepen self-knowledge and reduce distress, and heal. If I am providing therapy for an adolescent, I provide monthly parent collateral sessions.
