Great to meet you!

Starting therapy, whether it is your first time, or you are returning to review new issues, takes courage. We can find ourselves stuck in patterns of behaviors, relationships, or issues that keep us from living the kind of life we hope for. You may be faced with grief, anxiety, or a life transition that leaves you feeling unsteady. Maybe you’re not sure why now is the time to better understand and challenge yourself on a deeper level. It’s OK not to know right now. I am here to walk with you on this journey, providing a warm and non-judgmental space to look at what has brought you here, and help you “right the ship,” to help guide you where you want to go. A trusting client/therapist relationship is essential for connection, growth and change. I provide a caring, respectful setting to explore your concerns, as we develop goals together. Change can be scary, but it’s also full of possibility and fulfillment. Discomfort may be a sign that you're getting ready for a new chapter! I am honored that you are considering taking on this challenge with me.

My approach to therapy

I have over 22 years of experience working with adolescents, young adults, adults and families in clinical and school settings. My experience in school settings can be helpful for parents and adolescents/young adults working collaboratively with School Counselors and Child Study Teams. I am proud of my ability to advocate on behalf of my clients, as we all must learn how to navigate the systems, i.e. family, school, work, within which we all function. I appreciate working with people from a variety of cultures. Providing support through a culturally conscious lens is extremely important, as you should be celebrated for all that makes you who you are, from your culture of origin, to your gender expression, sexuality and spirituality,

What you can expect from me

I will be your biggest cheerleader, and I will tell you the truth, even if it’s hard to hear. Although I am trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), my approach is flexible and your treatment plan will be based on your specific needs. Whether you’re working through something specific or you simply want to feel better in your daily life, I’m here for it. You deserve support and healing before it becomes a crisis or undue burden. Reach out today and let’s take that first step together.
