Great to meet you!

I believe that human beings are made to function best on joy, the sense that someone is glad to be with you. Trauma happens when life overwhelms your ability to process it, and no one is there to help. People develop all sorts of ultimately unhelpful strategies to cope, such as addiction, anxiety, depression, isolation or codependency. I incorporate elements of IFS with body and emotion awareness to develop a client's skills and resources, which grow their capacity to heal from trauma.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I use an attachment and emotion focused approach to therapy. I can also integrate a Christian psychological model called Life Model for those would like their faith included in their therapy.

What you can expect from our first session

It's my hope that you will leave feeling less alone and more confident in your ability to be connected to others as well as your own self. I also hope the tools we practice together will help relieve the symptoms that brought you into therapy to begin with.
