Erin Kimbrough

I am a lifelong resident of South Louisiana. I received a BA in Anthropology from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches and Master’s in Social Work from LSU in 2010. I spent two years in England working in child protection before returning home. Though I consider my background in working with children and families, I currently enjoy helping clients of all ages facilitate the change that they desire to better their own lives. In 2016, I received my LCSW and began working in clinical practice.

My approach to clients is eclectic because each client and situation is unique. I use cognitive behavioral therapy and a solutions focused approach. I believe that the individual knows best what can work for them. My role is as a collaborator to help you find the change and acceptance that will enable you move yourself forward. I also offer EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapy.

The first session is an information gathering session. Clients are invited to share as much or as little as they wish. We get to know each other and set goals for our work together.
