Erin Kloster

I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Prior to becoming a PMHNP I was a Labor and Delivery nurse for 15 years. During my career, I often took care of pregnant patients who struggled with mental health. These patients often struggled to find providers who would treat. Additionally, after a traumatic work event, I struggled with finding a provider who could help me process that event. It was during those and many other life events that I knew I wanted to be a mental health provider.

I am the kind of provider who actively listens to my patients. Having been a labor nurse, compassion and empathy come naturally. The approach I take with my patients involves getting to know them at a level where I can pull out data that allows me to make accurate diagnoses and involve my patients and their family when deciding on a treatment plan. I have a strong belief that in working together, we will have the best outcomes possible.

My goals and expected outcomes will always include active participation from my patient's. My patient's will experience a collaborative approach built on trust, compassion and empathy.
