Great to meet you!

As a clinician, I bring over 20 years of experience helping individuals identify the underlying causes of their current challenges and develop effective strategies for lasting change. I believe that each person has the capacity for growth and healing, and my role is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your concerns, gain insight, and discover your own path forward.

In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), I am certified as a Behavior Change Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and a Certified Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. My background allows me to support clients in addressing both emotional well-being and lifestyle factors that influence overall health and personal growth.

My approach to therapy

My counseling approach is collaborative, person-centered, and goal-oriented. I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing techniques to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we explore patterns and habits that may no longer be serving you and identify practical strategies to create meaningful change.

I also incorporate an understanding of the mind-body connection, recognizing that emotional, physical, and behavioral health are closely intertwined. Through the structure of talk therapy, I help clients increase self-awareness, build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and develop sustainable habits that support their goals and overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. We will discuss what brings you to counseling, explore your current concerns and goals, and review relevant aspects of your personal history. This is also a chance for you to ask questions about the counseling process and determine whether my approach feels like a good fit for your needs.

My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable, heard, and supported. Together, we will begin identifying priorities and developing a plan that helps you move toward the changes you want to make. Reaching out for help takes courage, and I am honored to be part of that journey. I look forward to working with you.
