Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years experience. I have experience working with adolescents, adults and families. I specialize in working with individuals and families living with chronic illnesses as well as adolescents and young adults. I have specific expertise in anxiety, depression, behavior issues, life transitions and family conflict.

I firmly believe that we all have what we need inside to feel more whole and find contentment but most of us get lost somewhere along the way. That is when we need a little help. I am focused on helping you to feel heard, respected and supported first. My goal is to help you find your own inner resources, challenge beliefs that that don't serve you, and change behaviors that are getting in your way.

The goal of our work is for you to achieve a life not dictated by fear, unhealthy habits or self loathing. By facing difficult feelings and/or behaviors, you will become more yourself, learn healthy coping mechanisms, improve relationships and move toward more emotional freedom.

My approach to therapy

I use an integrative approach that combines many modalities, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family systems therapy and mindfulness practices. People are different and have different needs and styles, and so I work collaboratively with you to develop an approach that will be best suited to you and your needs.

What you can expect from me

You can expect to feel heard. I will make space to let you tell your story without judgement. I hope you leave our sessions feeling hopeful that change is possible and that you are working toward that with my support and guidance.
