Great to meet you!

There's a reason you're here. My name is Erin McGee, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. I specialize in Giftedness, ADHD, Autism, & AuDHD, as well as those who've always felt outside the default. I take a neurodivergent-affirming approach using CBT, solution-focused, and narrative therapy.

My approach to therapy

I have always had a passion for helping others and guiding people toward becoming the best versions of themselves. Before opening my counseling practice, I spent 18 years in public education, 12 as an elementary teacher and 6 as a school counselor. That work taught me the importance of relationships and connecting with others. I know how hard it is to mask, adapt, and perform "fine" just to get through the day. I believe the fastest way to feeling better is by talking to someone who takes the time to really listen, hear your story, and understand your experience.

What you can expect from me

I take a collaborative approach, where we work together to figure out what you need. Progress looks different for everyone; sometimes it's feeling more like your authentic self, and sometimes it's just feeling less alone in your own head. I welcome folks from all walks of life, and I have a particular interest in working with those who identify as neurodivergent or just "different." If you've ever felt "too much" or like traditional therapy spaces don't quite fit, you are certainly welcome here.
