Great to meet you!

Hi there! Thank you for visiting my profile and I applaud you for taking this big step on your journey of self-discovery. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Colorado and have been practicing for over 20 years in the counseling field. I am dedicated to helping you find a pathway to healing and creating a life of fulfillment and meaning.

My approach to therapy

My approach is based on balancing acceptance with change. I have extensive experience in a variety of settings including wilderness-based therapy, community mental health, and private practice. My work involves improving your capacity to experience each moment more fully and to act consistently with what really matters to you. I come from a trauma-informed perspective and will draw upon various approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, person-centered, and experiential. I may also include psycho-education in areas such as effective communication in relationships, regulation of emotions, and other presenting problems. My areas and specialties include trauma, grief/loss, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, school and work-related issues, relational problems, and family conflict.

What you can expect from me

At your first session, you can expect an experience of comfort, safety, and time that is dedicated to you and your process. We will look at your history, current presenting issues that have prompted you to seek out therapy, and also identify what personal goals you have. I am is dedicated to helping you find a pathway to healing and creating a life of fulfillment and meaning.
