My approach is based on balancing acceptance with change. I have extensive experience in a variety of settings including wilderness-based therapy, community mental health, and private practice. My work involves improving your capacity to experience each moment more fully and to act consistently with what really matters to you. I come from a trauma-informed perspective and will draw upon various approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, person-centered, and experiential. I may also include psycho-education in areas such as effective communication in relationships, regulation of emotions, and other presenting problems. My areas and specialties include trauma, grief/loss, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, school and work-related issues, relational problems, and family conflict.
