Great to meet you!

Hello! I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, and women. I am a school psychologist with almost 20 years of experience working with adolescents/young adults, and I’ve devoted my career to helping people feel supported and understood. I specialize in working with anxiety, ADHD, autism, trauma and emotional dysregulation. I know how important it is for clients to feel safe, respected, and truly listened to. Building strong, trusting relationships is at the center of my approach.

My approach to therapy

I utilize a warm and approachable therapeutic style, creating a reassuring environment that is balanced with firmness to encourage progress. My approach integrates evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and brief solution-focused therapy to help clients develop practical coping skills. I incorporate principles from motivational interviewing to empower individuals to explore and resolve ambivalence, gently pushing them to work towards meaningful, self-identified goals. This patient and supportive partnership allows clients to feel heard while still being challenged to make positive changes.

What you can expect from me

In our first appointment, you can expect a warm and reassuring environment focused on building a strong therapeutic rapport. We will spend time getting to know each other, discussing your background and any previous therapy experiences you may have had. A key part of this session involves identifying what you hope to gain from counseling and establishing initial goals to provide clear direction for our work together. By the end of this first meeting, you should feel heard, understood, and have a clear idea of how we can collaboratively move forward.
