Great to meet you!

Congratulations on taking the first step in improving your life satisfaction and feeling better than you did yesterday! Seeking therapy is a big step in making your mental well-being a priority and I am proud of you. You should be too. I will be with you every step of the way also-so you’re not on this journey alone.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I believe that everyone could benefit from an empathetic and encouraging space where they can feel comfortable to share their struggles and gain a better understanding of how to overcome them successfully. If you’ve been struggling with changes in your life that feel overwhelming, you’re not alone.

I have been in the Social Work field for 17 years, but have focused my practice in the last 10 years on working with college-aged individuals and adults who are in the midst of big life transitions—those in-between places that can bring on anxiety, stress, or even mild depression. Whether it's relationship stressors with family or a spouse/partner, an upcoming college graduation, considering a career change, contemplating ending a relationship, or feeling "stuck" in general, my goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and capable as you navigate your current season of life.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is short-term and goal-oriented, blending solution-focused strategies with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and person-centered approaches. That means we’ll work together to identify what’s working, what’s not, and what tools you can start using right now to feel better and take back control, all within a warm and empathetic space.

What you can expect from me

In our first session we will start building a relationship by sharing introductions and the opportunity to share your story, what brought you to seeking therapy at this point in your life, and what goals you hope to achieve with engaging in this process. We're in this together and with my help, we will come up with a plan to achieve those goals through learning tangible coping strategies to take away from our sessions to help create positive change going forward.
