Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Erwin Baird, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and founder of Next Gen Psyche and Wellness.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or simply unsure where to begin, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to navigate it alone. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and life’s many challenges, offering personalized support every step of the way.

My approach is collaborative, holistic, and deeply rooted in respect for your autonomy. I see you as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms. Together, we’ll explore what truly supports your healing—whether that’s medication management, mindfulness practices, EMDR therapy, genome-guided treatment technology, lifestyle changes, or simply providing a safe, judgment-free space where your story is heard and valued.

I offer convenient virtual sessions throughout California, as well as weekly in-person appointments at my clinic on Balboa Avenue in San Diego.

If you’re seeking a provider who genuinely listens, empowers your decision-making, and honors your individual journey, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Your healing is unique, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.

My approach to therapy

I take a collaborative, patient-centered approach, combining evidence-based treatments—including EMDR and genome-guided technology—with mindfulness and holistic strategies. I believe healing is a personal journey, and my goal is to empower you to discover what truly supports your growth and well-being. You are at the center of every decision, and together we’ll create a plan that reflects your values, preferences, and unique strengths.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, you are the driver of your care. I create a space where your voice is truly heard, your experiences are honored, and your goals set the direction. You can expect a partnership built on trust, open-minded listening, and compassionate guidance. Together, we’ll explore what feels right for you—developing practical strategies, gaining insight, and crafting a personalized plan that supports your healing, growth, and long-term well-being.
