Great to meet you!

As a second-generation Korean American therapist with degrees from Stanford University and Pacifica Graduate Institute, I specialize in working with Asian American professionals and other high-achieving adults who may appear successful on the outside but feel anxious, unhappy, self-critical, or emotionally stuck on the inside.

I have extensive experience treating anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, anger, perfectionism, family pressure, and the challenges that can come from growing up between cultures. Many of my clients are navigating the tension between achievement and emotional well-being, independence and family obligation, or external success and internal dissatisfaction.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in both insight and practical tools. I draw from CBT, psychodynamic therapy, supportive therapy, and mindfulness to help clients better understand their patterns, reduce anxiety and self-criticism, strengthen boundaries, improve relationships, and practice new ways of thinking, communicating, and responding to stress.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will begin by getting to know each other and discussing what brings you to therapy. I will explain how therapy works, answer any questions you may have, and help you understand what to expect from our work together.

We will talk about what has been happening in your life, what you are struggling with, and what you would like to change. I will also ask questions about your history, relationships, symptoms, stressors, and goals so that I can better understand how to support you.
