Great to meet you!

Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years working in corporate and higher education settings, gaining first-hand insight into the pressures of professional life. In the second half of my career, I chose to return to school to pursue my passion for mental health. Having lived in rural communities, I also understand the unique challenges that come with seeking support in smaller or more remote areas. These experiences shape my work, allowing me to connect with clients from a range of backgrounds while offering practical, down-to-earth guidance.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is a collaborative journey—one where you feel seen, heard, and supported as you navigate life’s challenges. My approach is grounded in empathy and authenticity, blending traditional therapeutic techniques with mind-body awareness to help you reconnect with yourself. Whether you’re facing daily stress, life transitions, or seeking deeper self-awareness, I strive to create a space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions with compassion. I work with adults who are looking for a therapist who understands both the emotional and practical aspects of growth. Together, we will identify your strengths, uncover patterns that may be holding you back, and build tools to help you move forward with confidence. My goal is to support you in becoming the best version of yourself—one that aligns with your values, intuition, and aspirations.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll take some time to get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and what you would like to change in your life. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, challenges, and the patterns that may be affecting how you’re feeling or functioning.

Just as importantly, the first session is an opportunity for you to get a sense of what it’s like to work with me. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, so we’ll begin identifying goals and exploring approaches that feel meaningful and comfortable for you. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet! So often simply having a place to slow down, talk things through, and feel genuinely heard is an important place to start.

My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling understood, supported, and with a clearer sense of where we can go together.
