Great to meet you!

I am a licensed mental health counselor in Massachusetts specializing in helping adults struggling with problem solving, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, PTSD /trauma, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and substance use disorders. I believe in building a strong therapeutic alliance with empathy and genuineness. I am fluent in Portuguese.

My approach to therapy

My approach is to build a therapeutic relationship based on respect, compassion, acceptance, kindness, and trust.

I am trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy but use other evidence base practices such as cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational Interviewing, psychoeducation, etc., and will tailor my approach to each person’s needs, using an individualized model of care.

What you can expect from me

I partner with my clients to explore the experiences and traumatic events that contribute to their life difficulties while promoting insight, personal growth, and healing. By focusing on strengths and increasing self-awareness my clients are able to explore behavior patterns and interpersonal dynamics in a safe environment that is free from judgement and promotes the development of tools and life skills to improve mental health outcomes and overall quality of life.
