Great to meet you!

My journey into mental health began as a caseworker at a nonprofit organization, where I had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including shelters for children experiencing homelessness, immigration camps, and adoption agencies. These experiences allowed me to work closely with diverse communities and ignited my passion for becoming a therapist.

More recently, I have worked in a chronic pain rehabilitation center, where I focus on the mind-body connection and help individuals understand how physical and emotional health influence one another. Throughout my career, I have become passionate about reducing the stigma surrounding mental health, particularly within the Hispanic community. My goal is to provide education, practical tools, and a supportive space where clients feel empowered to manage life’s challenges and confidently apply new skills in their everyday lives.

My approach to therapy

I work with individuals ages 11 and older who are navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, abuse, stress, generational trauma, life transitions, chronic pain, and medical illnesses. I believe therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so I tailor each session to meet your unique needs and goals.

My therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for me to learn more about you and what you’re currently experiencing. We’ll talk about the challenges that brought you to therapy, how they’ve been impacting your life, and what you would like to see change. From there, we’ll work together to identify your goals and create a plan for moving forward.
