Great to meet you!

Dr. Lezama is a licensed bilingual psychologist who received her PhD in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University. She completed her clinical internship at the University of California-Davis’s Student Health and Counseling Services. Dr. Lezama has trained in multiple in-person and tele-health clinics, and has gained ample experience addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, identity issues, life transitions, gender/sexual identity exploration, trauma, and relational/cultural issues.

My approach to therapy

Her treatment focus integrates psychodynamic, humanistic, insight-oriented, strengths-based, relational, and self-compassion and mindfulness approaches. She works diligently to provide individualized, culturally sensitive services so clients feel respected, empowered, and challenged to become their ideal selves. Dr. Lezama also deeply values utilizing humor and kindness with her clients, while providing direct feedback and encouragement, to support them in their goals.

What you can expect from me

Dr. Lezama is passionate about offering a safe, supportive, and compassionate therapeutic environment, where clients can grow and explore themselves and the unique contexts of their concerns. Dr. Lezama supports her clients through the uncomfortable "growth spurt" moments by modeling authenticity and encouraging her clients to practice patience and compassion with themselves. She believes therapy can not only lead to symptom reduction, but also to greater personal satisfaction and fulfillment.
