Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Estela Chester, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a passion for supporting clients of all ages. I bring additional experience working with women and families—especially during pregnancy, postpartum, trauma, and life transitions.

My background includes 25+ years of experience as a registered nurse in perinatal care, high-risk pregnancy, NICU nursing, postpartum, newborn nursery, NICU case management, and working as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. These experiences have deeply shaped my trauma-informed and compassionate approach to mental health care.

I received my associate degree in nursing from the University of South Dakota in 2001, then earned a bachelor's degree in nursing in 2024 and a master's degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse practitioner from Chamberlain University in 2025.

My approach to therapy

I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you feel truly heard and cared for as we work together to help you feel more balanced, confident, and supported.

I treat clients of all ages experiencing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, PTSD, bereavement, and life transitions. I have additional training and experience in perinatal mental health. I also enjoy working with children and adolescents.

What you can expect from me

During our first visit, we will dive deep into your history so I can get a thorough picture of your prior mental health and life experiences. Honesty and openness are imperative for a positive working relationship. We will determine a good plan of action together, so we can achieve positive results that we are both happy and comfortable with.
