Dr. Estella Lerlo

I'm Dr. Stella Lerlo, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (CA# 147318) with a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy, specializing in attachment-based therapy. My work focuses on helping clients understand how early relationships shape their emotional patterns and sense of self. Certified in both EAGALA and Polyvagal Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, I integrate these experiential approaches to address attachment wounds and trauma in a safe, non-judgmental environment with the use of horses.

My approach to therapy is holistic, trauma-informed, and client-centered. I create a safe, space for healing by meeting clients where they are. I am grounded in systems theory and explore how relationships and experiences impact mental health. Incorporating equine-assisted therapy and polyvagal theory, I use body-based methods to help clients regulate their nervous systems and process trauma.
