I am a licensed clinical social worker, and an accountant, holding Master’s degrees in both Social Work and Income Taxation, respectively. My focus is on helping my clients improve the overall quality of their lives. I listen to the presenting problems, as stated by my client(s), and along with the client(s), assess the issue and the person’s functioning in context of all relevant areas of their life that may be contributing to their suffering.
i am a skilled interviewer, who is able to obtain a great deal of information from an initial intake and assessment, which expedites intervention and work on goals. I am energetic, creative, and engaged, providing a balance of supportive and confrontational interventions to maximize therapeutic outcome. My focus is on helping individual, couples and/or families, experience symptom reduction in a timely and efficient manner.
In our first session, lasting approximately 60 minutes, we will review your intake, presenting problems, and your goals. I will work with you to complete an assessment, based upon which I will either concur with your goal, suggest other goals, or, if there are multiple goals, help you prioritize them. I view myself as a person with whom it is easy to engage, using humor and attentive, active listening throughout each session.
