I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and am certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors. I have expertise in working with people who want to develop skills to manage depression, anxiety and other mood disorders. I have experience with helping people reduce the effects of trauma, increase the health of family and/or marital relationships, and overcome addictions. I have provided individual and group therapy for adults and teens in a variety of private and county facilities including hospital inpatient units, residential treatment facilities, partial hospitalization settings, and adolescent day treatment programs.

I earned a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Regent University in 2007 subsequent to earning a Bachelor of Arts in Human Relations, with a minor in Theology, from Trinity Washington University. I into to Psi Chi, the international honor society in psychology, and Phi Beta Kappa at the conclusion of her undergraduate work.

My approach to therapy

I employ evidenced based interventions including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution Focused Therapy.

You can expect a safe, empathetic environment where you are encouraged to share your experiences, challenges, and aspirations. During the first few sessions, we will get to know each other and set treatment goals. We will have discussions that ,eet your unique needs and goals during subsequent sessions.
