Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 30 years of experience in healthcare. My background includes emergency and critical care, behavioral health, education, trauma-based care, and working with individuals experiencing high levels of stress and responsibility.

I have a passion for caring for frontline healthcare professionals, law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and others exposed to chronic personal, work related traumatic stress. I also work with children, teens and adults and individuals seeking support school, sport and work performance, behavior change, life transitions, life coaching, and improving their overall quality of life by combining different treatment modalities that fit your personal needs.

My goal is to help you address what is affecting you now while also exploring the physical, emotional, cognitive, relational, and life experiences that may be contributing to your concerns.

My approach to therapy

My approach is holistic, person-centered, trauma compassionate and sensitive. If you are looking for a straightforward approach and a provider who will work with you to understand what may be contributing to your concerns, I will meet you there.

I look beyond symptoms and diagnoses to understand you as a whole person. Depending on your needs, care may include, cognitive and behavioral strategies, somatic approaches, mindfulness, education, life coaching, and other treatment modalities that support your goals. I also offer medication management as adjunct to your care.

My goal is to empower you with greater understanding, meaningful choices, and practical tools that can help you move toward better mental health, overall well-being, and quality of life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about you—your concerns, your experiences, and understanding what may be holding you back from the life you want to build and accomplish.

We will review your medical and psychiatric history, medications, sleep, stressors, daily functioning, and other factors that may be contributing to your current concerns. I may also use questionnaires or screening tools to help establish a clearer picture of where you are now and periodically measure your progress over time.

When appropriate, I may request relevant medical records, review laboratory results, or order laboratory testing to better understand factors that may be influencing your mental and overall health.

My goal for the first session is to understand your story, clarify your priorities, and identify the areas we need to explore further so we can begin moving toward the life and quality of health you want.
