Great to meet you!

If your job demands zero-fail performance, high stakes and long hours—yet you’re feeling the weight of burnout, trauma, or the strain on your relationships—you’re not alone. You push through burnout, sleepless nights, or conflict at home—because quitting isn’t an option. But lately, the strain is catching up. You want your edge back, to feel present with your family again, and to regain control of your mood, focus, and drive—without losing the mission-focused part of who you are. I’m Dr. Ethan Bannar, and I help people like you move from survival mode to clarity, purpose and resilience.

I work with professionals who operate under pressure—military personnel, intelligence analysts, law enforcement officers, firefighters, and their spouses—people who make critical decisions daily. My approach is direct, action-focused, and grounded in experience. Together, we’ll clarify what’s going on and build resilience, purpose, and performance.

You don’t have to keep white-knuckling it alone. The pressure you’re under is real—and it takes strength to reach out. Therapy with me isn’t about talking in circles; it’s about getting back on mission in your life. If you’re ready to reset, refocus, and feel like yourself again, let’s take that first step together.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)—a practical, action-focused model that helps you build resilience, focus, and flexibility under pressure. Sessions are direct and goal-oriented, but always human. I integrate insight-oriented work to uncover deeper patterns, strengthen self-awareness, and create lasting change that aligns with your mission and values.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we will spend the majority of our time developing a comprehensive understanding of what symptoms/issues you would like to address. The better I understand what you are struggling with, the quicker we can work toward resolution. We will also spend a considerable amount of time developing a therapeutic alliance by sharing about ourselves. The stronger our relationship, the stronger we can make a dent in the goals we will set. I want to learn as much as I can about you to understand the dynamics and factors that contribute to your life.
