Great to meet you!

As a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner, I believe in a whole person metal health and working along side my clients to achieve there goals. With a bachelor of science in nursing from Baylor University and a master of science in nursing from UT Tyler, I utilize the nursing perspective of healing in my psychiatric practice. I have a passion for helping people who are marginalized. My work for many years has been to increase access to inclusive and affirming care for LGBTQ+ individuals.

My approach to therapy

I work to help people explore how their body and mind are connected. Often sleep is one of the biggest drives of physical and mental health. Addressing this is key to reducing anxiety, improving mood, and even stabilizing blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar. My focus on holistic care includes a very specific look at how your lifestyle contributes to your health. I am always happy to prescribe medication when it will help my clients, but I also enjoy working to find ways to reduce over prescribing.

What you can expect from me

We will work together to explore a treatment plan to address mood, anxiety, sleep. Initially, you can expect to go over your history and explore what is contributing to your symptoms. From there, we will discuss genetic factors, environment, learned habits, and your own individual neurochemistry. I am excited to get the opportunity to collaborate with you on lifestyle changes, complementary treatments, and medication management.
