Eunice Choi

I am a child therapist treating kids ranging from 4 to 11 years old. I utilize a variety of evidence based therapy modalities such as child-parent psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, parent-child interaction therapy, and play therapy. I specialize in anxiety, anger issues, grief, and trauma.

I try to create a safe space for my clients in order for them to be able to process their experiences and be open to interventions presented. We work on learning coping strategies and techniques together and I also try to bring in some fun and play into the space.

During our first session, I'll meet with the parent(s)/caregiver(s) alone for the first half to gather information about the reason for bringing their child to therapy and then meet with the child the second half to share a little bit about therapy and begin building rapport. My clients upon graduating therapy typically will have gained coping mechanisms to utilize in their day to day or have been able to process their trauma histories and emotional experiences.
