Great to meet you!

I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, perfectionism, identity exploration, and life transitions, particularly among high-performing women of color navigating the complex intersection of professional, cultural, spiritual, and familial expectations. Many of my clients are balancing achievement and ambition while quietly carrying the emotional weight of burnout, self-criticism, people-pleasing, or feeling disconnected from themselves beneath the roles they hold for others. I provide a space where clients can explore these experiences with honesty, depth, and compassion while honoring the influence of multiculturalism, intersectionality, and lived experience on mental health and identity development.

My approach to therapy

As a PhD-level clinician, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help clients better understand both the underlying patterns shaping their experiences and the practical tools needed to create meaningful change. My approach is insight-oriented, relational, and culturally responsive, recognizing that healing does not happen in isolation from systems, culture, or personal history. Together, we explore how internalized narratives, generational messages, and societal pressures may be impacting emotional wellness, relationships, self-worth, and overall fulfillment.

What you can expect from me

I view therapy as a collaborative process rather than a one-size-fits-all experience. I do not believe I am the expert of your life—you are. My role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, clinical expertise, and compassion as we identify your goals, deepen self-understanding, and create space for sustainable growth and healing. I strive to create a therapeutic relationship where clients feel seen, affirmed, challenged when appropriate, and empowered to reconnect with their most authentic selves.

I understand that beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, especially for individuals who are used to holding everything together for everyone else. Reaching out for support is a meaningful first step, and I welcome the opportunity to help you determine whether we would be a good fit for your therapeutic journey.
